In 2022, Element Logic invested NOK 15 million in OmniMod AS, a provider of innovative modular systems that handle everything from automated sorting to efficient distribution to workstations using artificial intelligence.

In October 2024, the world’s first OmniMod installation went live at Kitch’n’s warehouse in Norway, and the results have exceeded expectations. Kitch’n is a Norwegian retailer specializing in kitchenware, tableware, stoneware, and cutlery. With a higher speed than initially promised, the pilot project demonstrates the potential of OmniMod technology, which optimizes flexible and rapid transport of orders through the warehouse.

Element Logic is a partner in this project and previously delivered the AutoStore system for Kitch’n’s e-commerce warehouse, where 80 percent of the items are stored. The OmniMod system spans an area of three by eight meters and integrates seamlessly with the AutoStore solution.

Higher Efficiency Than Promised

Petter Grålumstuen, IT and Logistics manager at Homeco, which owns Kitch’n, Tilbords, and Cervera, says: “Until now, we have packed orders at packing tables. We wanted a sorting system with conveyor belts, but we didn’t want to commit to a fixed system. So, we decided to go with OmniMod instead,”. Grålumstuen explains. He continues: “OmniMod provides us with flexibility and efficiency, and test results have surpassed expectations, processing 2,500 packages per hour.”

Strong Interest

Mats Halvorsen, Partner Manager at Element Logic, highlights the strong interest in the solution and views this pilot project as a crucial step toward broader scaling. “What we’re doing here is unique. Now, we have proof that this works,” says Halvorsen, who has been the liaison between Element Logic, Kitch’n, and OmniMod. He continues, “With demand already strong, the level of interest is unmistakable”.

Element Logic supports OmniMod with sales, service, and network expansion to help elevate this new product. “Having Element Logic on board is crucial. It’s what enabled us to deliver for Kitch’n today and that will allow us to scale. It’s not just having a partner strategy, but having a reliable partner,” says Tobias Drage Roti, co-founder and CEO of OmniMod.

“Several product owners and players in the logistics industry have highlighted the challenges they face and have repeatedly asked Element Logic for solutions that we can now offer through a system like OmniMod. Additionally, we aim to invest in new and smart technology, constantly staying at the forefront and relevant in the market,” says Mats Bjerkaas, Managing Director of Element Logic Norway.

With its efficient and flexible solution, Element Logic, as a system integrator, now looks forward to launching additional installations and expanding the use of the technology in future projects.
